just a quick mention: i booked my summer tickets yesterday, and will officially Be In Boston from thursday 9 july until wednesday 22 july. i've got a few things planned already, but is there anything i don't want to miss?

(*so* excited about getting to see people at a less frenetic pace this time - yes.)

right, so: it turns out there's a 4" hole in my right coat pocket, through which my phone apparently escaped sometime during my early morning trek from Allston Point A to Allston Point B. (even better was the fact that our merry band of ridesiders was walking down the middle of the streets, so the likelihood of the thing being intact in a snowdrift somewhere - instead of shattered to smithereens in the path of traffic - is woefully low). i'd never lost a cellphone before (and i never delete numbers), so i just lost 4 years worth of accumulated contacts.

as promised, i will be back in boston from 28 december 2008 to 3 january 2009 for new years/my birthday/all the associated shenanigans...but, since i'm a bit out of the loop now, i'm wondering:

*what's going on for new years?*

on my end, i'll be organizing the usual pre-party dinner outing to celebrate the night i got sliced out of my mom's body - but what's going on after that? are there any shows, parties, afterparties...?

so one thing i like doing is making mixes, especially those with unusual themes. for the one whole semester that i thought about getting into college radio, the "weird theme mix" idea was going to be the format of my show - any band ever, any possible genre, but all songs about (say) stalking people one week, all obscure or improbable covers the next week, all songs about the movie Seven the week after that (except i only know of two songs about the movie Seven; that one needed work).
