Interview on Wednesday morning.

Sonic Youth w/ Meat Puppets, Cold Cave @ Wilbur Theatre

Cold Cave is a three piece on Matador. Looks like they've re-re-discovered Joy Division.

If you can't get J. Mascis, go with C. Krikwood. The Meat Puppets were a little sloppy. They played, like, three Nirvana covers.

Sonic Youth played primarily from The Eternal. A couple Daydream Nation tracks. Full-throttle guitar, thumping drums. Mark Ibold seemed out of place in his slacker rock flannel, but he's playing bass in Sonic Youth.

Monster Mash-Up & Pokergeist - last-minute party

Carly's having a Halloween party. Spooky decorations, candy, block-rockin' beats (DJ Rory), snacks/treats (potluck) and drinks (BYOB).

There will be poker at the end of the night, as well as non-poker entertainment for those of you who wish to gallivant while we gamble.

The party has its own Facebook event (put together in a rush yesterday, poke me if I somehow left you off the guest list) - RSVP on there, 'k? It's the first Facebook event I've had a personal stake in, and the lack of RSVPs is totally bringing back my "always picked last for kickball" social anxiety.

I didn't catch all of Only A Game this weekend. I did catch Il Duce

Moby Dick is Dead

Mastodon pretty much nailed "Moby Dick".

"Uylsses" and "Gravity's Rainbow" are begging for interpretation. Wouldn't concur, virtue and MC?
